The men's Paris Fashion Week takes place biannually for the spring/summer and autumn/winter seasons. This year, it was held between the 18th and 24th of June 2024, showing off designer's spring/summer 2025 collections. Fashion Week features a myriad of presentations from top designers and leading luxury brands, including Louis Vuitton, Dior Homme, Loewe, and Issey Miyake.
This year's Men's Fashion Week featured many trends across all the runway shows, including camouflage, floral prints, checks, metallics, double denim, and monochromatic looks.
Dries Van Noten announced that he was leaving his label earlier this year and presented his final collection at Men's Fashion Week after a four-decade-long career. Take a look at the runway show below.
An enormous warehouse in the St Denis suburb of Paris was transformed for the show, featuring a silver-covered runway. This last collection was inspired by the passing of time and its effects. Van Noten took inspiration from Belgian artist Edith Dekyndt, whose pieces are weathered by the elements. Some of the collection's fabrics were slightly distressed to make them appear lived-in, while an ancient Japanese marbling process inspired others in the form of flower and leaf motifs on the clothes. The garments' silhouettes reimagined classic pieces, such as a traditional tuxedo jacket that was altered to flow to the model's ankles. Other pieces were full of texture and colour, such as the sheer, plastic-like pastel fabrics making up coats and shirts and the metallic fabrics that made jackets and foil effects on shirts and coats. The colour palette was diverse, including grey, beige, navy, and black and more vibrant colours like pink, lime green, and bright blue. Take a look at some of the pieces from the collection below.
