Suits with contrasting details, however large or small, are always ones that will look fantastic and provide extra depth to the outfit. One of our stand-out contrasting suits we've made was for our customer Angie, who donned this stunning blue and cream number. Let's take a look at the suit in more detail.
Just like the waistcoat and trousers, the jacket was mainly constructed from a mid-blue sharkskin weave cloth in a single-breasted cut. Two flapped pockets were included on the front, ones that could be styled with the flaps on show or tucked away in the double jets. Only one button would be needed to fasten the jacket up and keep in tone with the classic evening/occasion wear details. The welt pocket on the chest would be slightly hidden behind the contrast notch lapels on the front, constructed from a gorgeous cream Vitale Barberis Canonico cloth. The same colour would be used to cover the buttons on the front and three-button cuffs, of which the bottom buttonhole would also be a contrast detail.
The waistcoat was of a similar layout and design with the blue and cream: the main body cut from the blue sharkskin weave, and the lapels and buttons finished in the cream Vitale Barberis Canonico cloth. It was double-breasted with six buttons on the front, a wide notched hem at the bottom and two double jet pockets on the front. The lapels had a smooth line along the front to really mirror the quality of the cloths and giving the suit a smooth appearance overall.
To complement both the blue and cream of the suit, the jacket was lined in a beautiful champagne gold satin paisley print with the interior pockets also finished in the same fabric. As well as the pocket square in the jacket's welt pocket, the flash cuff also included the same cloth for an extra pop of colour and chic characteristic too. The trousers were slim with a tapered cut at the hem, making for a very sharp appearance in this regal-inspired suit. You looked amazing Angie!
