The men's Paris Fashion Week takes place biannually for the spring/summer and autumn/winter seasons. This year, it was held between the 18th and 24th of June 2024, showing off designer's spring/summer 2025 collections. Fashion Week features a myriad of presentations from top designers and leading luxury brands, including Louis Vuitton, Dior Homme, Loewe, and Issey Miyake.
This year's Men's Fashion Week featured many trends across all the runway shows, including camouflage, floral prints, checks, metallics, double denim, and monochromatic looks.
Presented at the Mobilier National in Paris, Issey Miyake's Spring/Summer 25 collection was titled "Up, Up, and Away". Take a look at the full runway show below.
As the title suggests, the collection was inspired by how the wind interacts with garments and the body. The pieces were designed with sheer and lightweight oversized and loose-fitting materials so that the clothes could move and flow in the wind of the outdoor runway. The colour palette was relatively minimal, with earthy tones dominating but broken up by splashes of vivid bright oranges, greens, and blues. Some of the silhouettes were directly inspired by wind-blown objects such as kites and parachutes. Tops, coats, and jumpsuits had billowing cape-like structures whose shape could be altered by buttons to make them more or less voluminous. The "parachute" designs had straps incorporated as a homage to the actual equipment. Take a look at some of the pieces from the collection below.
