Daniel and his partner first met in April 2017, and so 5 years later during April this year, the two would wed! We had the honour of tailoring Daniel's wedding suit for the special occasion, taking inspiration from the piece worn during the 2014 advert for Chanel No.5! Let's take a closer look at the attire in further detail.
It was a three-piece attire consisting of a baby blue single-breasted jacket and trousers with a contrast dark blue waistcoat underneath. Focusing on the jacket first, its cut included a double vent on the back with a two-button front and notch lapels for that casual yet dapper look. The fitted silhouette featured further details such as flapped pockets below the waist and a welt pocket on the chest, the centre front edge curving round smoothly to elongate the jacket body. The trousers were cut in a straight leg with centre front creases to enhance the overall sharpness and coolness the wedding suit delivers.
From the jacket and trousers to the waistcoat, it was made from a vivid navy blue cloth in a double-breasted form. With six buttons on the front (3x3 arrangement), the waistcoat sat high on the chest with a short notch lapel style across the neckline, the height just enough to show the two-tone cravat tucked behind for Daniel's accessory. The notch hem was wide yet short also, whilst the back was cut from the same blue cloth as the rest of the suit to make it cohesive. The light brown buttons throughout the entire suit mirror his shoes very well, whilst on the four-button cuffs, the button is contrasting in a baby pink to match the pocket square and inner pocket jets.
As already seen, the lining inside was a two-tone blue and dark pink number in the timeless satin paisley design, chosen to really bring the baby blue and pink colours in the suit together. Another detail that would link rather nicely to the lining would be the burgundy under collar which, to make Daniel's suit extra special, was monogrammed with the two special dates the newlyweds would share. Embroidered in the same shade of baby pink, its elegance and subtlety would portray the romance and celebration of the special day for our #AHandTailoredSuit groom.
Once again Daniel, many congratulations on your wedding! It was an honour creating your dream wedding suit for you, and thank you so much for a lovely review!
