Before we begin discussing this sharp ensemble for the dapper groom, the team at A Hand Tailored Suit would like to express our many congratulations to our customer Abid and his wife Ohoud! They tied the knot on the 6th August 2021 at The Belfry Hotel & Resort in Sutton Coldfield and both looked absolutely incredible! It was a joy to tailor Abid's three-piece suit, and here's what want into this piece.

We start with the jacket, which was a navy blue butterfly brocade and cut in the single-breasted style with one button on the front for the fastening. Two straight flapped pockets were included in the design whilst a shawl collar was the preferred choice but one that was perfect and definitely made for the style of the jacket. It was cut from a contrasting dark navy blue velvet and with its soft texture, would complement the design of the jacket cloth very well indeed. With a welt breast pocket also included and the under collar created in melton ivory, one detail that would stand out would be the buttons. Just as on the front, gold buttons were selected on the jacket cuffs, arranged in a four-button style and in the working cuff design to show off the flash cuff.
The back of the jacket was cut with a double vent whilst the inside was lined in a plain black satin; however, we couldn't forget to include what makes this jacket so unique to Abid, with his and his wife's name embroidered inside along with the date of their wedding. It's these details that make a bespoke wedding suit very special.
Contrasting details were throughout this suit as Abid's double-breasted waistcoat was made from a lovely soft ivory cloth with an ivory fabric back to match. The finer details included two welt pockets on the front, a smooth shawl lapel and the important waistcoat adjuster on the back should he have needed it. The gold decorations continued from the jacket to the waistcoat with six matching buttons on the front, arranged in a 3x3 formation and a sharp notched hem to complete it.
Abid's trousers were constructed from a plain pure wool navy and designed with a cross pocket and two back pockets, fastened in the button and loop design. With belt loops and a waistband adjuster also, the hem was a cool length to show off his pink socks he wore on the special day - the perfect shade of pink to match his cravat and pocket square. The cravat sat within the semi cutaway collar perfectly as his white shirt was made with double cuffs and knife pleats for that great tailored cut for our dapper groom.
Once again, many congratulations to Abid and Ohoud on their wedding! You both looked fantastic and we are pleased to have been chosen to make your bespoke wedding suit!
