The Graham Norton Show 28 October 2022

For Episode 5 of Series 30 of The Graham Norton Show, Graham welcomed U2 frontman Bono to chat about his autobiography Surrender. American pop icon Taylor Swift appeared to talk about her new album Midnights. Graham greeted Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne to promote his true crime thriller The Good Nurse. BBC presenter and ex-Lioness Alex Scott came on the show to discuss her sporting memoir How (Not) To Be Strong, and Lady Blackbird performed her latest single Feel It Comin'. Let's take a look at some of the outfits from this week's show.

Graham Norton

Following on from his look last week, Graham again paired a more traditional suit with a more ostentatious shirt. He wore a slim-fitting single-breasted dark grey suit and matching dark grey tie with a rainbow striped and splotched classic collar silk shirt. He finished the look with black patent dress shoes. Check out his outfit in this clip.

Bono, born Paul Hewson, is an Irish singer-songwriter and philanthropist. He is the lead singer and principal writer of the rock band U2. The band has won 22 Grammy awards, been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and sold an estimated one hundred and seventy million records worldwide. Bono is an activist for social justice, especially in Africa, where he has co-founded DATA, EDUN, the ONE Campaign, and Product Red. He often takes part in benefit concerts and lobbies politicians and heads of state. In 2007, Bono was given an honorary knighthood for services to the music industry and humanitarian work.

On the show, Bono dressed in a classic black single-breasted slim-fitting suit with satin peak lapels. He paired it with a crew-necked black t-shirt and his signature round, coloured glasses.

In this clip, Bono tells a story about Frank Sinatra and then sings one of the songs they planned to record together before the legend sadly passed away.

Eddie Redmayne

English actor Eddie Redmayne is best known for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything, for which he won an Oscar for Best Actor and as Newt Scamander in the Fantastic Beasts series of films. He has also appeared in the movies Like MindsThe Good ShepherdElizabeth: The Golden AgeMy Week with MarilynLes MisérablesThe Danish Girl, and The Trial of the Chicago 7.

During his interview, Eddie dressed in an eye-catching baby pink 70s-reminiscent suit. The jacket was single-breasted and slim-fitting with wide peak lapels, while the trousers were tight at the thigh and flared out at the hem. He combined it with a plain white shirt that he left unbuttoned to further the 70s-inspired feeling.

This clip shows Taylor Swift and Eddie sharing a memory of auditioning for Les Misérables when they both were feeling quite uncomfortable for different reasons.

Alex Scott

Alex Scott is an English former professional footballer who played for Arsenal in the FA Women's Super League. She is currently a sports presenter and pundit for BBC Sport and Sky Sports and covers the English Premier League. Scott represented Great Britain at the Summer Olympics in 2012.

On the programme, Alex wowed in a sheer floral lace jumpsuit that even included built-in gloves. It was fastened at the neck with a black satin choker. She added modesty to the look with a black blazer with a leopard print lining for a touch of extra fun. Her long tresses were waved and flowing over her shoulders, and she finished the ensemble with a pair of pointed-toe sling-back stiletto heels.

In this clip, Alex chats about her autobiography and women's football fans.
