On The Late Late Show with James Corden, James welcomed Michael Douglas, Guillermo del Toro, Mike Posner and Salem Ilese, Jay Ellis, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Elon Gold, Adam Pally, Gordon Ramsay, Margo Price featuring Sharon Van Etten, and O'Shea Jackson Jr. Let's take a look at this week's outfits from the show.
Michael Douglas and Guillermo del Toro
Michael Douglas is an American actor and producer whose career has spanned seven decades. He won his first Oscar as a producer on One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and his second for playing Gordon Gecko in Wall Street. His other notable films include Romancing the Stone, The Jewel of the Nile, Fatal Attraction, Basic Instinct, The Game, Wonder Boys, and Solitary Man. Recently Douglas has portrayed Hank Pym in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in Ant-Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Avengers: Endgame.
On the show, Michael dressed casually in a royal blue shirt left unbuttoned at the collar, dark wash jeans, and a stylish loose leather jacket.
Mexican filmmaker and author Guillermo del Toro is famous for films such as Pan's Labyrinth, Mimic, Blade II, Hellboy, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Pacific Rim, Crimson Peak, The Shape of Water, Nightmare Alley, and Pinocchio. As a writer, he is known for Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities, co-authoring The Strain trilogy of novels, the animated series Trollhunters, and the Tales of Arcadia trilogy. He received a motion picture star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2019.
During his interview, Guillermo looked dapper in a single-breasted black three-piece suit. He dressed it down slightly by pairing it with a high-necked white t-shirt rather than a traditional shirt and tie. James wore his rust-coloured suit, classic collar light blue shirt, and complementary darker blue tie.
In this clip, Guillermo explains the process of creating stop-motion animation for his film Pinocchio using puppets. Michael reveals the launch of his family's archive website for his late father, Kirk Douglas.
Jay Ellis and Kirby Howell-Baptiste
Jay Ellis is an American actor known for playing Lieutenant Reuben "Payback" Fitch in Top Gun: Maverick. He is also a main cast member on the series Insecure and had a lead role in the horror film Escape Room.
On the programme, Jay wore a cream and tan checked zip-up jacket over a white classic collar shirt tucked into slim-fitting, straight-legged khaki trousers.
British actress Kirby Howell-Baptiste is best known for her role in the recent Netflix adaptation of the Neil Gaiman comic The Sandman. She has also been a series regular on shows such as Killing Eve, Why Women Kill, Love, Barry, The Good Place, and the fourth season of Veronica Mars.
On the show, Kirby appeared relaxed but stylish and modern in high-waisted, wide-legged grey and black checked trousers. She highlighted the black in the pants with a long-sleeved black shirt with ruffled detailing. She embellished the outfit with layered gold necklaces and gold earrings. James wore his plum-coloured suit with a complementary lilac-coloured club collar shirt and matching purple tie.
This clip shows Jay describing his first time meeting Tom Cruise, and Kirby shares a story about when she met Geena Davis in a coffee shop.
