We've had the honour of tailoring a few wedding parties this season and this one was rather grand and special too, with the three gentlemen all opting for monogramming on their jacket's under collar for that personal touch. The suits were the same in style, cut and design; but each gentlemen really made them their own.
The choice for the gentlemen was a navy blue butterfly brocade, all cut in the single-breasted silhouette and with a single fastening to make it a signature dinner jacket piece. On the jackets, contrasting black velvet shawl collars were the preferred style to refine the glamour of the theme more and each gentlemen wearing matching velvet bow ties too. With flapped pockets and double vents on the back, a detail that ensured the luxurious feel of the suits were the gold buttons on the front and cuffs.
To encapsulate the shimmer of the gold even more, the decision was made to customise the jackets with a gold satin paisley lining that could be used for the pocket square on the jacket too and featured on the working flash cuffs for that grand effect - and how well it worked. If the gold details weren't enough to capture the attention of others, the contrasting brown check waistcoats certainly would do the job. Styled with slanted welt pockets near the bottom, matching gold buttons were used for the fastenings which could be seen on the back pockets of their blue trousers.
Having a wedding suit or any suit personalised for an occasion is a detail we love incorporating into our bespoke suits. Along with the monogramming on these gentlemen's collars, a great detail was requested to be added inside their jackets: the Nigerian coat of arms. It became the perfect finishing touch to these suits, and these gentlemen together were a very sharply dressed wedding party!
