A Bridal Suit Full Of Elegance

Before we start discussing Dominique's elegant bridal suit, let us wish herself and her husband many congratulations on their wedding! They tied the knot in the midst of summer, the wedding occurring in Lichfield and they both looked incredibly smart for their special day. It was our honour to tailor Dominique's stone/beige linen three-piece bridal suit for her, so let's view the suit in full detail.

Her three-piece bridal suit was such a modern and chic piece for our team to make with the decision to have no shirt worn underneath. Starting with the jacket, it was a single-breasted cut with just the one button for the fastening and a single vent on the back. The overall fit of the jacket was so elegant and sharp, particularly as the wide peak lapels that reached high on the chest really elevated the shoulders for this desired look. Not only did the peak lapels enhance the sharpness, but so did the two angled flapped pockets situated on the front whilst the welt breast pocket retained the classic feel.

The inside of the jacket was lined in a lovely deep brown satin with the welt pocket also the same for the pocket square if chosen to style with such for the actual day. With the inner lining running through the sleeves too, it would be a subtle detail to show through the working four-button jacket cuffs, the shoehorn buttons arranged in the kissing style.

On the jacket front and waistcoat were slightly larger buttons matching those on the cuffs as the waistcoat itself was also cut in a single-breasted form and fastened with a five-button front. The angled notch was exquisitely sharp and crisp through the hemline, a subtle curve rising up from the lowest point on the front round to the back. The adjuster was included on the back and two wide welt pockets were positioned on the waist line, another subtle design feature as the waistcoat sat nicely over the trouser waist. The trousers themselves were definitely chic with a subtle bootcut turned up hem just to add more definition to the suit, finishing a great height above the floor and showing her heels. With belt loops, slanted side pockets and double jet pockets on the back too, the suit also featured subtle reinforcing stitches to further outline this sophisticated piece and Dominique's amazing bridal suit.

On behalf of the tailoring team Dominique, many congratulations to you and your husband on your wedding! It was a pleasure making your bridal suit!
