Saturday 26th June 2021 marked the special wedding day between our amazing customer Ryan and his wife Lydia at The Mill Barns in Shropshire, and the whole tailoring team here at A Hand Tailored Suit would like to say a massive congratulations to you two! You looked tremendous and thank you so much for these brilliant images too! Ryan's wedding suit was a treat to make, along with his six groomsmen - a dapper linen wedding party of seven!

Ryan and his groomsmen all wore matching beige linen suits which we had the pleasure of making for the big day. As his groomsmen wore two-piece suits, the groom Ryan wore a three-piece suit with a single-breasted waistcoat, designed with a notched hem and no lapels. They styled the suits with matching brown belts held (in position with belt loops) and shoes for that true dapper wedding party look. All suits were made in a single-breasted cut and with double vents, worn open for that summer wedding vibe to really shine through on Ryan's summer wedding, and this is such a cool shot of you gentlemen here!

The linen jackets were made with soft peak lapels cut in a suitable width to compliment the cool vibes of the summer suits. The lapels end at the middle of the jacket where the two-button stance is located, the buttons chosen being a lovely ivory colour as they were also used on the cuffs, arranged in a 4-button formation whilst smaller versions of the buttons also featured on Ryan's waistcoat. Two flapped pockets placed on a slight angle were included near the bottom of the jacket with the welt pocket on the chest as the jacket's were finished with a lovely curved edge on the hem and subtle centre creases on the trousers. It was truly great to see these suits being fitted in our studio before the big day.

Along with the suits, we also made all seven single-cuff shirts that would be worn on the day. The shirts were made from a crisp white cotton with a covered button placket to create a subtle yet stand-out detail. The button placket also creates an outline on the shirt as it blends in nicely with the band collar and finishing on the hem. With the jacket sleeves cut slightly shorter than the shirt sleeves, the cuffs are exposed for an extra smart finish too whilst the shirts with the collars styled open show a great balance between smart and casual for their wedding attire.

We always say it's the little details which matter when it comes to making the perfect bespoke suit, and we did not forget this when it came to making Ryan's suit. On the back of the collar was the date of the wedding embroidered as a way of remembering the special day for years to come, including his initials embroidered onto the cuff of his shirt, with matching boutinèrres worn by himself and his groomsmen.
