This really was a tailored jacquard brocade wedding suit of dreams, full of grandeur and so effortlessly sartorial - and it was our pleasure to make this three-piece ensemble all by hand for our gentlemen, Mohammad. He married in the middle of August (congratulations sir!) and as you can see, the navy suit was decorated with a vintage-style floral lining; but there's more grand details to this suit to we simply have to show you up close.
Beginning with his jacket, Mohammad opted for a single-breasted cut to the garment and with a one-button fastening, fitting for the special occasion. With the traditional flapped pockets and welt breast pocket on the front, a fourth thin double jet ticket pocket could also be seen as an extra dapper feature on the waistline. With Mohammad being quite tall, the button placement was centralised with the centre front to curve smoothly down and round to the hem which follows round to a double vent on the back; but what makes this jacket great is indeed the contrasting blue velvet collar, epitomising the grand nature of this wedding suit if the textured cloth hadn't done so already.
The jacket cuffs were finished with a three-button kissing cuff arrangement whilst matching the colour and material of the collar. The flash cuff (along with the pocket square) was also a great way of showcasing the decoration on the inside of the jacket and waistcoat, a little insight into the very bold pattern that Mohammad could reveal when taking off the jacket during his wedding. The lining and velvet facing were edged in a thin pale blue binding with functional pockets inside the jacket too, further enhancing the bespoke suit's practicality.
The vintage tone to this floral print is just immaculate and worked so well with this suit, adding a whole new level to this dapper attire. Moving onto the waistcoat, this was a statement on its own. It was designed with a signature low-scooped neckline that really allowed the lining to be distinguished, cut in its double-breasted form with a six-button front. The buttons were covered in the same cloth as the waistcoat, designed with two welt pockets and an angled notch hem that curved up slightly to the sides.
The waistcoat sat over a plain white shirt with a classic collar that kept his navy paisley cravat in place very well. The centre front of the waistcoat was long enough to cover the trouser waistband and the sides high enough to access the waistband adjusters easily if needed. With belt loops also incorporated into the trouser design, slanted side pockets and double jet pockets with button fastenings were added to the back. The cloth of choice for the trousers were a lovely choice to match the collar on the jacket and allowing the jacquard pieces to be a talking point.
One of our aims with our bespoke wedding suits is for our customers to feel amazing and to make their attire memorable and certainly personal to them and the occasion - this we made sure of with Mohammad having the jacket's under collar monogrammed. It includes his name, the name of his wife and their wedding date, such a wonderful personal touch to this fantastic suit.
On behalf of the tailoring team once more Mohammad, many congratulations to you and your wife on your wedding! Thank you for the wonderful review too! We are so pleased you loved your wedding suit and you looked incredible!
