A Winter Wedding Masterpiece: Crafting the Perfect Groom & Groomsmen Look in Birmingham
When it comes to a winter wedding, few dates carry as much magic as late December. For Jordan and Yasmine big day on December 30th, the goal was clear: sophisticated, custom-tailored elegance that would stand out against the backdrop of the stunning Hogarths Solihull.
At A Hand Tailored Suit in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter, we had the pleasure of designing a cohesive yet distinct look for the groom. Here is a look behind the scenes at how we brought this high-contrast, luxury vision to life.
The Groom: Ivory Elegance meets Forest Green
The centerpiece of the wedding party was Jordan’s custom three-piece tuxedo. Choosing an ivory jacket for a winter wedding is a bold, timeless move that ensures the groom remains the focal point.
- The Jacket: A striking white fabric (Ref: 75200-31) featuring a wide 4" peaked lapel with hand-stitched detailing. To add a personal touch, we included covered buttons and a "Flash Cuff" with a subtle green thread on the bottom buttonhole to hint at the lining within.
- The Hidden Details: Inside, the jacket features a lush Forest Green framed lining. Under the black melton collar, we embroidered the wedding date—30th December 2024—in matching green thread.
- The Waistcoat: A masterclass in vintage style, featuring a Double Breasted (DB) 3x3 horseshoe/scoop front with a 2.5" shawl lapel.
The Fine Details: Custom Shirting & Trousers
A suit is only as good as the foundation it’s built on. We didn't stop at the tailoring; every element was customized to the couple's story.
