For our #AHandTailoredSuit bride, we had the honour of creating a custom two-piece ivory wedding suit to be worn out in Dubai! The ivory colour would be perfect, not only for the significance of the wedding, but also for the bride to keep cooler in warm climate. Before we delve into the details of the attire, we'd like to wish the bride many congratulations!
For the jacket, we constructed it with a single one-button front and curved flapped pockets either side to capture the occasion dress code. The welt pocket on the chest would also be angled for that subtle sharpness to the piece, contrasted by the rounded edges leading into the hem. With soft padding and a little bit of height across the top line, it would create distinction to the fitted cut of the jacket. With peak lapels mirroring that distinction, the cuffs would be of a modern two-button arrangement with contrasting purple and green buttonholes on the bottom. The trousers would be tapered to the ankle and the hem designed to just sit over the tops of their shoes, finished with a centre crease front.
The suit would be lined in a plain white satin with a matching pocket square to sit in the welt pocket of the jacket. The lining would be edged in a silver/beige satin to complement the colour palette of the wedding attire well whilst adding that extra bit of definition inside too. The buttons were a plain cream and, as the one cuff buttonhole was finished in a green thread, we matched this with the buttons on the bride's custom shirt fastened on using the same colour. Designed with a double vent on the back of the jacket and side pockets on the trousers, it fit our bride amazingly!
