Jimmy Kimmel Live! Weekly Highlights 16 - 20 October 2023

This week on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Jimmy welcomed Christina Aguilera, Al Michaels, Lil Yachty, Simu Liu, Myke Towers, Martin Scorsese, Mike Epps, Chelsea Cutler, Snoop Dogg, Ms. Pat, and October London. Let's take a look at some of the outfits from this week's show.

Simu Liu

Simu Liu is a Canadian actor known for starring as Shang-Chi in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. He also played Jung Kim in the sitcom Kim's Convenience and a Ken in the Barbie movie. Liu has written the memoir We Were Dreamers.

On the show, Simu looked comfortable but smart in cream wide-legged trousers, a thin wheat-coloured slouchy wool jumper, and an oversized white shirt-jacket with contrasting black buttons. He accessorised with a delicate gold necklace and a chunky gold watch. Jimmy wore his black slim-fitting single-breasted suit, white classic collar shirt, and a skinny charcoal tie.

In this clip, Simu discusses meeting Jimmy for the first time, living in Los Angeles, trying to get his green card, and being invited to the premiere of Taylor Swift's concert film. 

Martin Scorsese 

American filmmaker and actor Martin Scorsese is famous for making films influenced by his Italian-American heritage and New York upbringing. His best-known movies include Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Casino, Gangs of New York, Shutter Island, The Wolf of Wall Street, The Irishman, and Killers of the Flower Moon. Scorsese is passionate about film preservation and restoration and has founded three non-profit organisations: The Film Foundation, the World Cinema Foundation, and the African Film Heritage Project.

During his interview, Martin looked very dapper in a subtly checked blue three-piece suit and sky-blue shirt. The single-breasted waistcoat had a deep neckline and a pointed hem to elongate his torso. The notch lapel jacket had flap pockets and a ticket pocket to add extra visual interest. He finished the outfit with a blue silk tie that complemented the shade of his suit and shirt. Jimmy wore his black suit again. This time, he wore a blue tie with alternating matt and shiny stripes.    

This clip shows Martin talking about his short documentary Italianamerican, sharing his mother's meatball recipe in the credits, religion being a big theme in his films, and his new movie Killers of the Flower Moon.

Snoop Dogg

Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr is better known by his stage name Snoop Dogg. He is an American rapper and actor and has sold thirty-five million albums worldwide. Snoop Dogg has released nineteen studio albums and five collaborative albums. He has also appeared in films and hosted television series, including Doggy Fizzle Televizzle, Snoop Dogg's Father Hood, and Dogg After Dark. Snoop Dogg owns Death Row Records, which he bought in 2022.

On the programme, Snoop Dogg wore a laid-back but stylish look. He donned a matching set of oversized jacket and baggy trousers in black leather and tan suede. Underneath, he wore a simple black slim-fitting turtleneck jumper and accessorised with a thick gold chain and chunky gold and diamond rings. Jimmy wore his midnight blue suit, white shirt, and black tie.
