Back in August, our #AHandTailoredSuit groom Atul tied the knot to his gorgeous wife Liya in Kerala! Only a couple of weeks later, we then received such wonderful imagery from their special day, and they both looked absolutely fantastic! It was a black tie theme that Atul chose for his suit; but before we delve into the details, we like to send our many congratulations to the couple, and thank you for sharing these images with us!

For the groom, we constructed him a sleek three-piece black tie mohair wedding suit which included a contrasting velvet shawl lapel on the jacket. With a classic one-button front for the occasion wear piece, we also included classic flapped pockets sitting below the button line, finished with a welt pocket on the chest that was accessorised with a silver paisley pocket square. This echoed the lining inside if Atul opted to accessorise as such, providing a versatile detail that would look great either way. The jacket cuffs were finished in a three-button form with velvet fabric buttons to mirror the lapel, and the centre front line would curve smoothly into the straight hem.
For the waistcoat, it would be a distinction in its double-breasted silhouette and be a statement from the jacket itself. It was lined in the same silver satin paisley as the jacket, styled in the classic 3x3 button front (velvet buttons too) with two angled double jet pockets on the front. The notched hem was of distinction too with small vents on either side for extra comfort. With no lapel on this garment, it was the perfect complement to the contrasting lapel on the main jacket, whilst also not taking much attention away from the shirt. The mohair trousers were a slim fit with belt loops on the waistband and a hook bar fastening too.
The shirt was a great choice to fit with the black tie wedding dress code, as we cut the groom's shirt with a timeless pleated from panel. This would pair beautifully with his double cuffs and winged collar, which itself would hold the matching mohair black bow tie superbly in place around the neck. When Atul came in for his final fitting to try it all on together, it was absolutely wonderful to see how dapper he looked - and he would look even more dapper and sharp on his wedding day!
Once again Atul, our team send you and your wife many congratulations on your wedding! Thank you for choosing us to create your custom wedding suit and be a part of your special day, you both looked incredible!
