BRIT Awards 2022: The Ladies of the Red Carpet

The BRIT Awards were back for 2022 and back in February as it's normally scheduled in the year, taking place at the O2 Arena in London. Known for being The British Phonographic Industry's most popular music award ceremony, the famous awards were handed out to some of the biggest music stars in the industry as this year, the categories were gender-neutral. With such an event, we expect some glamorous looks - and the red carpet delivered with stunning outfits from the ladies this year.

Adele

She made a massive comeback with her latest album "30" towards the end of last year, and the BRITs on Tuesday (8th February 2022) was definitely her night. The singer came away with three awards: Artist of the Year; Song of the Year with "Easy On Me"; Album of the Year. On the night, she wore three looks with this full-length Giorgio Armani dress being her red carpet look. Across the plunging V neckline was a beautiful tulle embellished neckline that glistened across the shoulders and down the back as it was tied in a bow. The rest of the dress was made in velvet, epitomising old style glamour for the modern day red carpet.

Anne-Marie

For her red carpet look, singer Anne-Marie sported a sharp black Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini look consisting of a tailored jacket and fitted trousers with a tied bodice underneath. The jacket itself was strong with those padded shoulders and its classic collar, left unfastened and exposing the shiny metallic silver zip. Two angular double jet pockets sat on the chest whilst two more sat angled vertically down the sides. The trouser hems completely covered the singer's shoes as the nominee was up for Song of the Year with the track "Don't Play", sung also with KSI and Digital Farm Animals.

 Little Simz

The rapper was nominated for three other awards on the night but was a winner in a fourth category, taking him the BRIT award for Best New Artist. Her three outfits on the night (all seen above) were very cool indeed, arriving onto the red carpet wearing a Prada maxi-length double-breasted leather coat, styled with a green buttoned shirt over the top of a black rollneck jumper and flared black mohair trousers to finish. She accepted her award in a grey single-breasted Prada coat cinched in at the waist with a buckled black belt, worn over the top of a classic white shirt and black tie. The coat flared out from the hem and underneath the belt, sat two bulky pockets and the cuffs finished with three buttons. Whilst that tailored look was worn over black trousers too, her performance look was very different as she wore mint green blazer with notch lapels and feather cuffs that completely covered the bottom part of the sleeves. A cream shirt tucked into a pair of printed copper high-waisted tailored trousers made for a fun on-stage look.

Vick Hope

TV and radio presenter Vick Hope dazzled on the BRIT Awards red carpet in gold as she wore a NADINE MERABI floor-length gown. Completely embellished in gold sequins, the dress featured a square neckline and was fitted through for glitzy elegance. For that extra sparkle during the red carpet event, the dress included a thigh-high split down one side which, with her gold strap heels to match, really shone at the event and was a definite stand-out number on the night.

Harriet Rose

Presenter and radio DJ Harriet Rose's red carpet number was a two-piece floral suit from PINKO and a pair of cream open heels to match the muted colour palette of the look. The tailored jacket included padding in the shoulders and fastened with the grey/blue button in the centre, bringing the jacket in at the waist. Smaller versions of the buttons are featured on the cuffs as the notch lapels almost seamlessly blend into the jacket for an effortless finish. The edges of the jacket hem are pointed for a sharp finish too, creating this high angled notch and complementing the bootcut trousers that flare from the knee.

Becky Hill

Taking home the BRIT award for Best Dance, singer Becky Hill dazzled on-stage and upon arrival on the red carpet in a green and blue look from Alberta Ferretti. It comprised of a separate blouse and skirt, with the blouse sitting nicely on the neck and draping across the shoulders as they lead down into oversized tulle sleeves. The sleeves were tied off above the wrist for a flamboyant cuff design as the shimmer came from the many sequins included on the shoulders and matching mini skirt. The blue underlayer of the skirt helps to promote the subtle blue undertone of the outfit.

Alex Scott

Sports commentator, presenter and former footballer Alex Scott attended the 2022 BRIT Awards wearing a AADNEVIK black halter neck lace dress, finished with tulle ruffles down the edges of the skirt and across the hem. The tulle ruffles were also seen down the sides of the bodice of the dress as the front finished on the thigh and the lace draping behind her to the floor. With a low back on the design too, the look was made more dramatic with her chunky black platform heels complete with silver embellishment across the strap for a glistening finish.

Leah Williamson

Current England and Arsenal women's football player Leah Williamson rocked up in such a cool two-piece green Gucci attire for the BRITs, styled with a pair of black heels and beige blouse underneath worn open. The jacket was double-breasted with black buttons on the front and wide peak lapels to balance out the strong padded shoulders that made this look such a statement. The cuff buttons were green to match the rest of the suit and the trousers designed with a crisp centre crease on the front of the legs to encapsulate this metallic finish to the overall ensemble.
