Cannes Film Festival 2025, Celebrity Day Style: Women

The 78th annual Cannes Film Festival ran for eleven days in May, from Tuesday, the 13th, to Saturday, the 24th. The event is a celebration of film and cinema, and guests are required to follow a strict black-tie dress code for premieres and galas. However, there were also numerous photo calls during the day, allowing celebrities to dress in a more relaxed and casual manner. Let's take a look at some of the women's daytime sartorial choices.

Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence, who stars with Robert Pattinson in Die My Love, chose a boho-style look for her photocall. She paired an oversized, thin cream jumper with a diaphanous green ombre chiffon-like fabric embroidered with gorgeous climbing green vines and pink and white flowers. She wore her hair loose over her shoulders and completed the look with green-tinted sunglasses.

Emma Stone

Eddington star Emma Stone also chose a boho-inspired outfit of a navy silk slip dress with flouncy white lace detailing and sheer panels on the bodice. The dress had a plunging neckline and very skinny straps. She accessorised with silver hoop earrings, rings, and white open-toe sandals.

Halle Berry

Halle Berry served on the jury at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, helping to select the films that would receive awards. For the jury's photocall, Halle wore a coordinating black tweed skirt suit with subtle white flecks. The suit had ruffle detailing at the collar, waist, cuffs, and hem. She paired it with open-toed black leather heels.

Zoey Deutch

For her new film Nouvelle Vague (New Wave) photocall, Zoey Deutch looked very 1950s in a strapless gown with a fluffy tulle underskirt. The brown and white striped bodice featured bows at the bust and waist. The skirt was a beige organza with delicate white polka dots, and the brown and white of the bodice was echoed at the hem. She wore her hair in a 1950s bob-length, wavy style and accessorised with chocolate-brown heels and a diamond necklace.
