Cannes Film Festival 2025, Red Carpet Style: Men

The 78th annual Cannes Film Festival ran for eleven days in May, from Tuesday, the 13th, to Saturday, the 24th. The event is a celebration of film and cinema, and guests are required to follow a strict black-tie dress code for premiers and galas, resulting in a sea of seemingly identical black suits for the male guests on the red carpet. However, the canny celebrity manages to stand out using texture, material and cut. Let's take a look at some of the male celebrities' sartorial choices.

ASAP Rocky

Rapper ASAP Rocky walked the red carpet of the screening of Highest 2 Lowest, in which he stars, in a baggy double-breasted suit with peak lapels and flap pockets. He paired it with a black and white striped tie, a white classic collar shirt, a flower lapel pin, gold earrings, and a pair of chunky black sunglasses.

Austin Butler

Star of the contemporary Western Movie Eddington, Austin Butler, attended its screening in a classic black double-breasted tuxedo by Saint Laurent. He added interest to the traditional look with a beautiful satin cummerbund and slightly slouchy trousers.

Pedro Pascal

Pedro Pascal, who also stars in Eddington, arrived on the red carpet in a matte black double-breasted tuxedo with contrasting satin peak lapels and satin edging on his slanted jetted pockets. Instead of the usual white shirt and bow tie, he mixed things up with a black shirt and black necktie.
