Sophie, came to us back in March last year and asked us to make her feel special on her wedding day in Feb the following year.

"We do get asked rather a lot do we cut for ladies too.

The answer is simply yes we do!"

We have the pleasure to share with you all some photos taken on the day of Sophie & Alexa Marie's Wedding day they both look absolutely fantastic! 

 

Now lets share with you some of the initial design brief for Sophies gorgeous hand-made suit & shirt.

Sophie's brief was simple a green colour ideally for her suit , that captured sage, eucalyptus, whites & potentially some pinks. It was her special day & she wanted to feel comfortable & smart! She had already chosen a tie & pocket square made by William Morris!

We reviewed the tweeds from some of the finest mills in the north of England but settled with a fabulous forest green Italian wool flannel.

The construction was simple a half canvass Jacket to allow it to drape well over the body, designed & cut with a peaked lapel in a 3.75 inch width to add some width to the shoulders, we added a 2 button single breasted hand-stitched finish to the front of the Jacket with slanted flapped pockets to the front + a breast pocket with a contrast lining in gold. To the rear we added a double vent & to the cuff we added 3 buttons onto the sleeve cuff. (Our cuffs are real, working as they are known in the business).

The waistcoat was cut in the same cloth but in a single breasted 5 button style with hand stitching on the front, with a breast pocket added with a matching lining inside and matching cloth on the back.


The trousers cut again from the same cloth, 1x left back pocket added + Belt Loops & waist adjusters for comfort.

The shirt was also hand made with a semi cutaway collar, classic button front with two knife pleats in the back for extra room + a double cuff so cuff links can be added.

The finishing touch was embroidery under the collar & a special message added over the Christmas period from a passing relative the brought everybody to tears on the fitting day!
