For Gaspar's wedding to his wife Vanessa, he came to us wanting something quite spectacular for their chic wedding reception in France, and so, for our #AHandTailoredSuit groom, a custom gold black tie number would work perfectly! Before we look into his suit in more detail, we would like to wish the newlywed couple many congratulations on behalf of the tailoring team here!

As part of a three-piece ensemble, the jacket would be constructed in a single-breasted style with wide contrasting velvet peak lapels that would definitely be another strong detail of many. They were made from velvet, as was the single button on the front and buttons on the cuffs. The flapped pocket jets would also be contrasting to echo the black lapels, but also pick out the darker tones of the gold that are conveyed as the light hits the cloth at different angles. Its multi-tonal look adds more definition, whilst the vibrant yellow pocket square and lining inside outlines it quite well. A subtle beige pocket square was also made for the welt pocket accessory, whichever Gaspar would prefer to style.
Unlike the jacket, the groom's waistcoat would be double-breasted in style with six buttons on the front (3x3 style) and peak lapels that almost blend in with the rest of the garment. The notched hem would be short in height but slightly wide also at the bottom for a defined line, whilst two tall single jet pockets would feature just below the waist. The back would be finished in a plain black cloth which the velvet waist adjuster would continue this contrast, whilst it would be lined in the same yellow lining to bring the ensemble together.
