For his lavish Paris wedding, our #AHandTailoredSuit groom Mumin came to us for a fully bespoke wedding suit to match the theme: black tie glamour indeed! Before we delve into further detail of his suit, we would like to wish our many congratulations to Mumin from the whole tailoring team!
The attire was a three-piece with the jacket and waistcoat matching in a elegant whit butterfly brocade, styled with contrasting black trousers to allow for a statement look. The jacket itself was double-breasted with four buttons on the front (2x2 style) that were positioned with a tall stance between them. With two flapped pockets sitting almost level with the bottom two buttons, a narrow ticket pocket was included on the one side for that extra subtle touch of class. The shawl lapel was significant in its shape and look, cut from a contrast black velvet that was echoed through the buttons on the front and cuffs.
Underneath the jacket was a single-breasted waistcoat that continued the elegance of the wedding suit. Its front would be finished with four more velvet covered buttons (the bottom left unfastened if preferred), leaving a small notched hem at the bottom. The neckline was left plain with no lapel to create a smooth rounded line across the top, mirroring that curved line the jacket's shawl lapel created. With a double vent on the back, deep red satin paisley pocket square on the welt pocket and slim trousers with a slight tapered ankle, it was definitely apt for Mumin's lavish Paris wedding!
