Elevating the Groom: A Custom Black Tie Masterpiece at Moddershall Oaks
When the calendar hit August 19th, 2025, all eyes were on Moddershall Oaks in Staffordshire. For groom Juelz Prince, a standard off-the-rack suit was never going to cut it for a 1:00 PM wedding at such a stunning lakeside venue. He needed something that balanced timeless Black Tie elegance with a bold, contemporary edge.
To bring this vision to life, Juelz turned to the master tailors at A Hand Tailored Suit in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter. The result? A bespoke ensemble that redefined modern wedding luxury.
The Design: White Butterfly Brocade meets Classic Black
The centerpiece of this commission was a Double-Breasted (DB) jacket that demanded attention. Crafted from a striking White Butterfly Brocade, the jacket featured a Deep Shawl Lapel in contrasting black satin, measuring a precise 3 inches for a sleek, elongated silhouette.
Key Jacket Details:
- The Cut: A sophisticated 3x3 button formation (with 2x fastening).
- The Pockets: Straight flapped pockets with black satin welts.
- The Hidden Gems: A "Flash Cuff" and breast pocket lining in Jett Black Paisley, matching the interior's Ivory Paisley framed lining.
- The Finish: BA20238 custom buttons and elegant hand-stitching.
The Foundation: Precision Trousers & Shirt
A statement jacket requires the perfect anchor. The trousers were kept classic in plain black but featured a unique Black Brocade side stripe to subtly echo the jacket’s texture. Designed with both belt loops and side adjusters, plus internal brace buttons, they offered the ultimate versatile fit.
The look was completed with a custom White Egyptian Cotton shirt (Fabric W14), featuring:
- Balanced Pleated Front: For that traditional Black Tie texture.
- Semi Cut-Away Collar: Modern and sharp.
- Double Curved Cuffs: Ready for a set of heirloom cufflinks.
The Finishing Touches
