Mindy's Parisian Style! Season 3 Fashion Review
Ashley Park once again stars as Mindy Chen, Emily's friend, roommate and aspiring singer, in Season 3 of Emily in Paris. In this season, we see Mindy going from strength to strength in her singing career. She's even offered a residency at a famous jazz club. Like Emily, she also has a complicated love life. Who will she choose? Benoit or Nicholas? We couldn't wait to see what was in store for Mindy and to look at her famously unique wardrobe. Here are a few of the looks that particularly caught our eye.
The Neon Performance Look
Neon featured heavily in Emily's wardrobe this season, and Mindy's outfits followed suit.
Here Mindy is wearing a Mugler neon yellow sheer illusion mesh body suit and matching leggings for her performance at La Trompette Bleue. It's daring and on trend, just like Mindy's character.
The Metallic Suit
Metallics were another trend that Mindy copied from Emily this season.
This gold suit is a combination of fun and exquisite tailoring. The trousers are slim fitting with a slight flare at the ankle to balance out the more boxy oversized double-breasted jacket. The thigh-length jacket features wide peak lapels, covered buttons, and playfully rounded slanted flap pockets. The colour, cut, and details give it a more casual edge to an otherwise formal look that reflects Mindy's outgoing and lively personality.
The Embellished Dress
Feathers were also showcased during this season. Mindy combined neon and feathers in this yellow satin minidress with a sequin covered heart-shaped bodice. The green feathers on the plunging neckline added femininity and flirtiness.
The Green Blazer Dress
As shown in her gold suit, Mindy enjoys a tailored moment as much as Emily, and this blazer dress perfectly illustrates that. The wide notch lapels and patch pockets of the jacket would pair beautifully with a casual trouser, but Mindy's more flamboyant styling includes an 80s-style wide belt to cinch the waist and thigh-high blue and white slouchy boots.
The Green Satin Pyjamas
This season, Green seems to be Mindy's power colour, and she wears a lot of it. One of our favourites is this green and yellow satin, patterned pyjama-style ensemble. The trousers are wide-legged, flowy and high-waisted. The top has a notched collar and a dropped shoulder for a loose and comfortable fit.
