For the Bride and Best Woman! Sammi's Summer Wedding - A Hand Tailored Suit

For the Bride and Best Woman! Sammi's Summer Wedding

After their wedding was postponed due to Covid, July 2022 finally meant the date that our #AHandTailoredSuit bride Sammi and her partner Stace would tie the knot! On behalf of the whole tailoring team here, we send our many congratulations to the newlyweds and thanks to Sammi for sharing these wonderful images with us!

Sammi came to us for her initial consultation and fittings before Covid; but of course, as was the case with many weddings, Sammi's was pushed back and postponed. So when the date had arrived for the bride and her best woman Dee, to wear their bespoke blue attires on the big day, we were delighted! Let's take a look at Sammi's suit in further detail.

Sammi opted for a three-piece ensemble with the jacket and trousers both cut from a bright mid-blue herringbone cloth that stands out so well and with distinction. The jacket style was decided upon a one-button piece cut in the single-breasted form. With the fastening being very central on the front, this meant the peak lapels were also distinctive in the curved edge before leading into a sharp point at the top. The one lapel was decorated with a contrasting lilac buttonhole that matched the bottom buttonhole on her three-button cuffs. The flapped pockets were angled, as too was the welt pocket on the chest. The trousers were a slim cut with pockets on the sides and a soft center crease on the front. The creases fell into the hem as they sat just on the tops of her shoes which, if we do say so ourselves, were the perfect choice with the hint of blue!

Underneath the blue jacket was a very cool contrasting waistcoat, cut from a light grey check cloth with a subtle blue tone to the colour, making it the perfect link indeed. The single-breasted garment was constructed with two thin double jet pockets and a wide notched hem, which was a great finish to ensure her belt buckle was a definitive detail of her wedding suit. Fastened with four buttons down the center, the neckline point finished mid-chest with extra stitches along the edges for extra structure and finer detailing.

Dee was Sammi's best woman on the day and for her attire, we also fitted her in the same blue jacket and trousers with peak lapels and that sharp herringbone detailing in the cloth. The same purple details were included and, as both her and Sammi would wear, it was strengthened through the accessories of the patterned lilac cravats and accompanying pocket squares in the welt pockets. Along with the suit and accessories, Dee's and Sammi's shirts were constructed in a plain white cotton with a classic collar and navy blue buttons down the center.

Sammi, we are thrilled to have been a part of your special day with making yours and Dee's suits for the occasion! Congratulations once more to you and Stace, you all looked amazing!
