Ladies' Day at Aintree 2025
Share
Ladies' Day is the second day of the Grand National Festival at the Aintree racecourse in Liverpool. This year, it took place on one of the warmest days so far, Friday the 4th of April. It is one of the most anticipated fashion events in Liverpool's calendar, and women turn out in their most eye-catching outfits for the day. There is even an annual style award, which was sponsored by River Island this year. The winner, Katie Morris from St Helens, won £3000 of River Island vouchers. This year's racegoers opted for pastel hues, pretty florals and the traditional statement headpieces. Let's take a look at some of the most eye-catching attendees.
Elaborate Fascinators
Fascinators are always a focus of Ladies' Day, and this year's racegoers didn't disappoint with their choices. Among the elaborate headpieces, floral designs stood out most prominently.
Other standouts included a ruffled black and white lace and wire construction, a black and white feathered number, a silver ice queen style headband, and a gilded headpiece that evoked The Hunger Games with its feathers, bows, and arrows.
Pleasing pastels
Many attendees chose classic spring colours, such as white and green, and various shades of pastels, including buttery yellow, which is this season's colour.
Vibrant visions
However, hot pink was also a commonly worn colour in accessories and dresses. Other vibrant hues that were spotted included scarlet and gold.
The Grand National Festival came to an end on Saturday, the 5th of April, with Patrick Mullins riding Nick Rockett winning the big race.
