London Fashion Week February 2025: Emilia Wickstead
Share
London Fashion Week is the second week of the Autumn/Winter 2025 catwalk calendar after New York Fashion Week earlier in the month. It kicked off on February 20th and ran until February 24th. It will now move to Milan and then Paris. Plenty of up-and-coming designers, along with the more established big names like Paul Costelloe, Emilia Wickstead, Erdem, Simone Rocha, Kent & Curwen, and Burberry, showed off their collections.
Held at the Saatchi Gallery in South West London, Emilia Wicksteads Autumn/Winter 2025 collection was inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's iconic 1963 film The Birds, its costume designer Edith Head, and its cast, including Tippi Hedren. Take a look at some of the runway show in the video below.
The daywear featured sixties shift dresses, mod-style jackets and skirts, knitwear and pillbox hats, and the colour-blocking techniques Wickstead is famous for. The eveningwear reflected old Hollywood glamour with empire-line dresses, flowing shawls, sparkly fabrics, and sizeable glimmering paillette embellishments. The colour palette was a mixture of neutrals and vibrant colours, including baby pink, red, green, yellow, and blue. Let's take a closer look at some of the pieces from the catwalk.
