London Fashion Week February 2025: Paul Costelloe

London Fashion Week is the second week of the Autumn/Winter 2025 catwalk calendar after New York Fashion Week earlier in the month. It kicked off on February 20th and will run until February 24th before moving to Milan and then Paris. Plenty of up-and-coming designers are scheduled to show off their collections, along with the more established big names like Paul Costelloe, Emilia Wickstead, Erdem, Simone Rocha, Kent & Curwen, and Burberry.

Paul Costelloe's Autumn/Winter 2025 collection was shown at The Waldorf's Palm Court in central London on February 21st. Take a look at some of the backstage process, a short interview with the designer, and the runway show in the video below.

The theme of this year's autumn/winter collection was equestrian and inspired by a collection from the 1980s titled 'Dressage'. The elegant garments featured 1980s power-dressing tailoring, padded shoulders and oversized silhouettes. Feminity was added with cinched waists and short dresses. Costelloe used Irish tweed and woollen knits as his fabrics of choice because they reflect the countryside equestrian theme and his own Irish farming roots. There were luxurious touches in silk pieces, exciting prints, and beaded detailing. The colour palette was very neutral, with a brown, green, grey, black and cream base and pops of brighter hues in berry reds, yellows, and pinks. Let's take a closer look at some of the pieces from the collection.
