London Fashion Week, September 2025: Simone Rocha
Share
London Fashion Week began on September 18th and will continue until September 22nd. It follows on from last week's New York Fashion Week and will move on to Milan and Paris, finishing on October 7th. September Fashion Weeks are designers' opportunities to showcase their Spring/Summer collections for the upcoming year. This year's top designers at LFW include Burberry, Emilia Wickstead, Simone Rocha, Harris Redd, and JW Anderson, along with numerous up-and-coming designers, from those starting to become popular, such as Aaron Esh, to those making their runway debuts, like Dreaming Eli and Rory William Docherty.
Irish designer Simone Rocha presented her "bittersweet" Spring/Summer 2026 collection at Mansion House on September 21st. Take a look at the collection in the Instagram reel below.
The collection was inspired by photographer Justine Kurland's "Girl Pictures" and explored the awkward beauty of youth and girlhood. Models walked the runway clutching pillows wrought into handbags, evoking teenage poutiness and tiredness. At the same time, all of Rocha's usual signature romanticism was present in the garments' adornments —layers of sheer vinyl and tulle, satin flowers, oversized bows, lace, and sparkles. Romanticism was also present in the eighteenth-century pannier-style skirts seen on many pieces, delicate knitted cardigans, jewel-adorned bandeau tops, and quilted coats overlaid with clear vinyl. Meanwhile, men's garments included draped suits, semi-sheer T-shirts, floral coats, and sequinned shorts. Let's take a closer look at some of the pieces from the collection.
