London Fashion Week, September 2026 – Erdem Spring/Summer 2027
A celebration of British fashion, craftsmanship & modern romance
London Fashion Week returned to the capital from 17th – 21st September 2026, bringing together some of the biggest names in British fashion alongside a new generation of emerging designers.
For Spring/Summer 2027, the London schedule offered an impressive mix of heritage, craftsmanship, experimentation and contemporary British style, with designers including Burberry, Simone Rocha, Erdem, Roksanda, Harris Reed and Richard Quinn appearing alongside the much-anticipated return of Alexander McQueen and Christopher Kane's debut for Mulberry.
Among the highlights was ERDEM, the London-based fashion house founded by British-Turkish designer Erdem Moralıoğlu.
Known for his highly researched collections, romantic silhouettes, intricate embellishment and exceptional craftsmanship, Erdem has developed one of the most recognisable visual languages in contemporary British fashion.
And for Spring/Summer 2027, that language continued to evolve.

Erdem's Spring/Summer 2027 collection arrived during an important moment for the designer.
2026 marks 20 years of the Erdem label, giving the collection an opportunity to look back across two decades of the designer's fascination with history, women, art, literature, nature and craftsmanship.
Rather than simply revisiting the archive, Erdem continues to use history as a starting point for something new.
The British Fashion Council describes Erdem's design process as being centred around a "forensically researched narrative" and a belief in the power of craftsmanship, with each collection built around a particular muse and previously untold stories of women.
That sense of storytelling has become one of the defining characteristics of the house.
A Designer With A Story To Tell
Born in Montreal to a Turkish father and British mother, Erdem Moralıoğlu graduated from London's Royal College of Art in 2003 before launching his first womenswear collection in 2005.
Over the following two decades, his collections have developed a distinctive combination of romanticism, historical references, floral motifs, embroidery, lace, tailoring and dramatic feminine silhouettes.
His work frequently begins with research.
Museums, archives, historical figures, literature and extraordinary women have all provided inspiration for previous collections.
For Spring/Summer 2027, that fascination with the past remained firmly at the heart of the creative process.
In the build-up to the show, Erdem revealed that he had been particularly fascinated by the Bayeux Tapestry, created in the 11th century and embroidered in Canterbury.
The designer's interest in the tapestry is particularly intriguing because of the contrast between its predominantly male historical narrative and the very limited number of women depicted within it.
It is precisely this type of historical detail that has become central to the Erdem aesthetic.

Erdem was just one part of an exceptionally busy London Fashion Week.
The Spring/Summer 2027 schedule featured 47 catwalk shows and 23 presentations, combining established British houses with emerging designers and international names.
The return of Alexander McQueen to the London runway, Christopher Kane's debut at Mulberry, Marks & Spencer's first London Fashion Week catwalk and the continued presence of British houses such as Burberry, Simone Rocha and Erdem all contributed to a season that placed British creativity firmly back in the spotlight.
