Milan Fashion Week, February-March 2026: Prada
Share
Milan Fashion Week will run from 24 February to 2 March. It follows on from last week's London Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week at the beginning of the month. Paris Fashion Week will round off fashion month from 2 to 10 March. February and March fashion weeks are designers' chance to showcase their collections for the autumn and winter of the upcoming year. This year's top designers at MFW include Fendi, Gucci, Prada, Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, and many more well-known fashion houses.
Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons presented Prada's Autumn/Winter 2026-2027 collection at the Fondazione Prada on 26 February. The show's theme was "Before and Next". Watch the full runway show below.
The show featured 15 models who sported 4 looks each, with each trip around the runway removing an extra item of clothing. This was supposed to represent the lived experiences of history, politics, and life, with the layering and removal of the clothes symbolising the layered complexity of life and the necessity of continually evolving to meet its challenges. Outerwear included tailored overcoats, leather jackets, and trench coats with capes. Under the outerwear were cosy knits, exaggerated cuffs peeking from jackets, and chunky jumpers tucked into sheer skirts. Fabrics had been purposely distressed, showing rubbed seams, singed sleeves, and creased quilted leather to give a "lived-in" effect. The eveningwear included dresses strategically ripped to reveal shimmering animal-print or corseted linings. The base of the colour palette was dark greys, blacks, and blues, with vibrant accents of red, yellow, green, and purple. Let's take a closer look at some of the pieces from the collection.
