September marks the beginning of month-long fashion show extravaganzas for spring/summer 2025, starting in New York before moving to London and Milan and finally wrapping up in Paris at the start of October.
Milan Fashion Week started on the 17th of September and finished on the 23rd of September, 2024. It featured catwalks and presentations from well-known brands and designers, including Fendi, Boss, Prada, Moschino, Emporio Armani, Gucci, Versace, Bottega Veneta, and Dolce & Gabbana.
Key trends across the runways, like in New York and London, were plenty of bold colours offset by neutral tones, the now seemingly ubiquitous use of sheer fabrics, and a harping back to past decades in fashion history.
Sabato de Sarno presented Gucci's Spring/Summer 25 collection inside Milan's historic Triennale di Milano museum. Take a look at the full runway show below.
The collection, titled "Casual Grandeur", was inspired by Jackie Kennedy, a Gucci client and timeless global style icon whose style personified casual grandeur for De Sarno. The runway show featured lingerie, classic tailoring, leather, and 60s silhouettes, and the colour palette was a base of white, black, and grey with accents of lime green, bright yellow, vibrant orange, and Gucci Rosso (Gucci's signature oxblood hue). Another of Gucci's signatures, their Horsebit, usually seen on loafers, was featured on a new 60s-inspired flat boot. Take a closer look at some of the pieces below.
