Share
Milan Fashion Week took place between September 23rd and 29th. It follows on from London Fashion Week, which took place last week, and New York Fashion Week, held from September 18th to 22nd. The month-long fashion extravaganza moved on to Paris on September 29th, finally wrapping up on October 7th. September Fashion Weeks are designers' opportunities to showcase their Spring/Summer collections for the upcoming year. This year's top designers at MFW included Diesel, Fendi, Gucci, Prada, and Giorgio Armani.
Dolce & Gabbana brought their signature Italian glamour to Milan Fashion Week with not one but two spectacular presentations. The design duo showcased both their menswear and womenswear Spring/Summer 2026 collections, each capturing the essence of effortless Mediterranean luxury that has become synonymous with the brand.
The menswear collection, dubbed "Pyjama Boys," transformed Milan's streets into a full-fledged spectacle on Saturday, September 27th. The show reinvigorated pyjama dressing for the summer season with unexpected casual layering and decadent embellished flourishes. The collection spoke to relaxed sophistication, proving that comfort and high fashion aren't mutually exclusive. It was a glamorous, summer-ready take on easy-to-wear style that only Dolce & Gabbana could execute with such panache.
The womenswear presentation followed at 2:30 PM CEST on the same day at Viale Piave 24, drawing an impressive front row that included none other than Miranda Priestly and Nigel from The Devil Wears Prada – a fitting tribute to the brand's influence on fashion culture. The collection exuded an effortless attitude and relaxed atmosphere, featuring delicate black lace layered under sheer fabrics that added a sense of lightness to slip dresses and tops. Bustier dresses worn under striped pieces created unexpected combinations that felt both fresh and quintessentially Dolce & Gabbana.
Fashion critics praised the collection as "rather pleasant, young and fresh," noting the brand's ability to maintain its DNA whilst appealing to a new generation. The refined designs were complemented by something rarely seen on high fashion runways – smiling models who embodied the joyful, sun-soaked spirit of an Italian summer.
