New York Fashion Week February 2025: Thom Browne

New York Fashion Week kicked off on the 6th of February 2025 and ended on the 11th of February. This February's Fashion Week was a display of top designers' Autumn/Winter collections for 2025 to 2026. This season, well-known names like Todd Snyder, Calvin Klein, Carolina Herrera, Coach, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Thom Browne, and many more had runway shows and presentations.

Thom Browne closed Fashion Week on the 11th of February with a collection based on identity and freedom. The runway was decorated with two thousand origami birds. Take a look at the full show below.

The colour palette for Browne's Autumn/Winter collection was greyscale with the addition of deep brown, yellow, pink, and blue accents. He deconstructed and exaggerated traditional tailoring shapes and played with dresses, petticoats, and huge pouffy ballgown skirts. There were plenty of checkered patterns across the garments, and the bird motif of the runway was carried onto the pieces in the form of satin stitch and gold bullion embroidery. Let's take a closer look at some of the pieces.
