New York Fashion Week kicks off the start of a month-long fashion extravaganza, with London and Milan Fashion Weeks following, and Paris Fashion Week rounding off fashion month. New York Fashion Week ran from 11 to 16 February 2026. February fashion weeks are designers’ chance to showcase their designs for the autumn and winter of the upcoming year. This year’s top designers at NYFW included Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Coach, and many more well-known names.
Ralph Lauren kicked off New York Fashion Week with a show the night before the official opening on 10 February. He presented his Autumn/Winter 2026-2027 collection at the Jack Shainman Gallery in downtown New York, which had been transformed into a section of Lauren’s personal Bedford estate, featuring vintage rugs, hand-painted murals, and velvet curtains. Supermodel Gigi Hadid opened the show, modelling a chocolate brown tweed waistcoat and skirt set. Watch the full runway show below.
The Autumn/Winter 2026-2027 collection was inspired by a “renegade spirit”, mixing country tweeds and riding boots with velvet evening dresses and jacquard florals, not unlike the menswear collection he presented in January in Milan, where cowboy met businessman. The clothes were timeless and lasting, yet able to be reinvented. Pieces included tweed tailoring, velvet dresses, floral blazers, printed trousers, embroidered knitwear, tapestry and leather jackets, and leather trousers. Grazia described the colour palette as a masterclass in shades of brown. It also featured pops of leopard print and metallic accents to break up the tonality and add textural interest.
