This year Paris Fashion Week Men's Spring/Summer 24 took place between the 20th and 25th June 2023. The runways occurred all over Paris in unique venues, such as museums and gardens. Day five featured the Hermes ready-to-wear menswear collection at the Palais d'Iéna. The collection focused on luxury summerwear using cashmere, silks, and cotton. Take a look at the whole runway show below.
The designs were meant for a man's hot weather wardrobe with light fabrics that were layered but still suitable for tropical temperatures. The colour palette was grey, beige, white, sage, and terracotta. Let's take a closer look at some of the pieces.
Outfit #1
Last season, mesh and transparent fabrics were seen on women at all award shows. Here Hermes has brought the trend to menswear for the summer. This look has a translucent grid patterned white and blue shirt layered over an equally see-through vest paired with breezy, loose-fitting, lightweight beige trousers.
Outfit #2
As referred to in earlier articles, shorts were all the rage at the SS24 collections, and Hermes also jumped on the bandwagon. This ensemble has loose-fitting, low-slung black short shorts paired with a boldly patterned grey silk summer shirt. There are plenty of receptacles to keep your summer essentials in, with a cross-body bag matching the shirt and a traditional tote in black leather.

Loose-fitting, straight-legged flowy black trousers are combined with more transparent material, this time in the form of a traditional-looking casual jacket with patch pockets and notch lapels in translucent white.
Outfit #4
Knitwear was also seen on many runways for those slightly chillier summer evenings or even days. Here is an example of a beautiful sky-blue mock-neck elbow-length sleeved sweater paired with shiny silky-looking loose-fitting summer trousers made more casual with rolled hems.

Finally, grey silk is used in this ensemble for the under-vest, and the interesting jacket-made-of-shirt material worn over the top, giving it a more approachable feel for the summer. They are paired with lightweight, loose-fitting black trousers with gold chain detailing at the waist and a complementary gold chain at the neck.
