Paris Fashion Week is the culmination of the month-long fashion extravaganza that takes place across New York, London, Milan, and Paris. It kicked off on the 5th of March and ran until the 11th of March. The schedule included runway shows from fashion juggernauts, including Dior, Tom Ford, Balmain, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Balenciaga, and more.
The final day of Paris Fashion Week began with Chanel at the Grand Palais. The Autumn/Winter 25 collection was designed by the 'creation studio' as the house awaits the arrival of its new creative director, Matthieu Blazy, next month. Take a look at the full runway show below.
The Autumn/Winter 25 collection was focused on reimagining Chanel signatures, such as pearls, ribbons, bows, and flowers, while also playing with proportions. Garments included huge ruffles, giant pussybows on blouses, dresses and cosy outerwear, layered pearl necklaces, oversized bows, and three-dimensional flowers on jackets. The pearl necklace, reimagined in giant size as a cross-body bag, particularly stood out. Sheer fabric was also part of the collection, but in a more subtle and refined way than seen in other Houses. Transparent dresses were worn as overlays on top of tailored skirts or trousers and jacket combinations, giving them a touch of glamour. There was even a nod to the early 2000s, with skirts or dresses layered over trousers making a comeback. The colour palette was classic Chanel black and white with pops of pastels and brighter tones included. Let's take a closer look at some of the pieces from the collection.
