Paris Fashion Week, March 2025: Dior
Share
Paris Fashion Week is the culmination of the month-long fashion extravaganza that takes place across New York, London, Milan, and Paris. It kicked off earlier this week and will run until March 11th. The schedule includes runway shows from fashion juggernauts, including Dior, Tom Ford, Balmain, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Balenciaga, and more.
Dior's creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, presented the Autumn/Winter 25 womenswear collection on March 4th. Take a look at the full runway show below.
Inspired by Gianfranco Ferre, who led the house in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and Virginia Woolf's Orlando, Grazia Chiuri's latest collection explored the idea of metamorphosis. The white shirt was a foundational garment over which historical dress was examined. The shirt was layered under corsetry or ruffled and elongated at the cuffs. There were ruff-inspired neckpieces, crinoline-like gowns, Victorian-style frock coats, military-inspired velvet jackets, and trenchcoats with brocade-like millefleurs motifs. She also reintroduced the J'Adore Dior T-shirt, including an updated version with lace detailing. Other collection elements included outerwear, leather, and faux ermine. And, of course, there were plenty of the now ubiquitous sheer garments. Let's take a closer look at some of the pieces from the collection.
