Paris Fashion Week, March 2026: Dior
Share
Paris Fashion Week, which runs from 2 to 10 March, wraps up a month-long fashion extravaganza that kicked off in New York at the beginning of February, followed by London and Milan Fashion Weeks. February and March fashion weeks are designers’ chance to showcase their collections for the autumn and winter of the upcoming year. This year’s top designers at Paris Fashion Week include Dior, Balmain, Tom Ford, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermes, Saint Laurent, and many more well-known fashion houses.
Jonathan Anderson, creative director at Dior, presented his sophomore womenswear collection for Autumn/Winter 2026-2027 at The Tuileries Gardens on 3 March. The show, titled “A Garden of Earthly Delights”, explored the idea of the “promenade”, the act of dressing up to see and be seen in a public garden. Take a look at the full runway show below.
The promenade was an elite pastime in the nineteenth century, and Anderson’s designs drew on historical silhouettes with a modern twist. Belle Époque gowns were turned into miniskirts with trains; lace gowns were deconstructed, with edges left frayed as if destroyed by time; and there were brocade jackets with peplum hems. There were voluminous frills and ruffles throughout the collection, including stuffed under a reimagined, flared Bar jacket. The colour palette was dominated by flowery pastel shades of pink, blue, lilac, green, and yellow, complemented by dark and light houndstooth checks and metallic jacquard accents. Let’s take a closer look at some of the pieces.
