Paris' Haute Couture Week took between the 27th and 30th of January 2025. Luxury brands like Chanel, Dior, Giorgio Armani, Schiaparelli, Valentino, and Jean Paul Gaultier presented their couture spring/summer 25 collections.
Alessandro Michele presented his debut couture collection for Valentino on the 29th of January. It was staged in the Palais Brongniart and titled 'Vertigineux'. Take a look at the complete collection below.
According to the designer, 'Vertigineux' was "a constellation of visions… a plurality of interconnected worlds. Each dress is not just an object. It's rather the knot of a net of significance, [recalling] eras, cultures and echoes of past stories". The collection was, indeed, breathtaking or dizzying. It consisted of maximalist dresses with interwoven silhouettes from all different time periods. The gowns featured panniers, ruffs, embroidery, wings, flounces, harlequin patterns, and much more.
