Paris Men's Fashion Week, June 2025: Dries Van Noten

London Men's Fashion Week was cancelled this year, with one of the stated reasons being the trend towards more co-ed presentations. However, Milan Men's Fashion Week still went ahead, running from June 20th to June 24th. Influential design houses, including Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, and Prada, all showcased their latest collections. Men's Fashion Week then moved to Paris for its last week, running from June 24th to June 29th. Many designers displaced from London debuted their collections in Paris alongside the juggernauts of French fashion, including Saint Laurent, Dior, Hermès, and Louis Vuitton.

Creative director Julian Klausner presented his first menswear collection for Dries Van Noten. The Spring/Summer 2026 show was held on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine and was titled "Just a Perfect Day", with Lou Reed's song playing as the models traversed the catwalk. Take a look at the full runway show below.

The collection was a mixture of traditional and unconventional elements. The designer commented that the garments had the feeling of having been worn to a party all night, only to roll up the sleeves, loosen the tie, and take a stroll down the beach at dawn. The looks played with formal and casual styles and mixed traditionally feminine silhouettes, such as bell-shaped coats, boat necklines on tops, and cinched waists, with classic masculine tailoring. Other pieces included tuxedo jackets styled with cropped trousers, heavily beaded tops and shorts, fine knits, sarongs, and jersey tops. Klausner also included plenty of exciting colours, such as lush greens, eye-watering pinks, deep blues, vibrant oranges, and blood reds, among others. He played with patterns, too, using prints, such as encompassing florals, misshapen dots, screen-printed graphics, and stripes. Throughout the collection, the cummerbund was paired with both formal and casual ensembles alike. Let's take a closer look at some of the pieces from the collection.
