Royal Ascot 2025: Royal Style: Men
Share
Royal Ascot is possibly the best-known racing event of the year. Taking place in Berkshire, this year's event ran from Tuesday, June 17, to Saturday, June 21. 2025 is a particularly special year, with it marking the 200th anniversary of the Royal Procession, an event where the King, Queen, and other members of the royal family arrive at the beginning of each day, driven along the racecourse in horse-drawn landaus before settling in the Royal Enclosure to watch the races. Of course, Royal Ascot is a prestigious racing event, but it is also well-known for its fashion displays. The dress code is stringent, with men being required to wear morning dress. Butter or lemon yellow is a very popular colour this season, and many of the guests, including the men, incorporated the summery hue into their ensembles. Let's take a look at some of the royal family's Ascot wardrobe!
King Charles III
King Charles jumped on the yellow bandwagon on day five of Ascot, donning a beautiful dove grey morning suit, a blue and pink striped shirt with a white collar, a complementary blue and white patterned tie and matching pocket square, and a vibrant yellow waistcoat. He rounded the look off with a traditional black top hat.
Prince William, The Prince of Wales
Prince William looked dapper on day two of the event in a mismatched morning suit with a black jacket and slate grey striped trousers. He paired it with a double-breasted, Regency-style, square-cut waistcoat in white with broad, peak lapels. He completed the look with a patterned blue tie and a gold tie pin, along with the traditional top hat.
Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh
The Duke of Edinburgh even embraced the yellow trend on day three of the races, pairing a pale, buttery-coloured single-breasted waistcoat with points with a slightly more vibrant lemon-yellow patterned tie and, of course, the traditional morning dress and top hat.
Sir Timothy Laurence
Sir Timothy Laurence, the husband of Princess Anne, also attended day three of Royal Ascot. He wore a black tailcoat jacket with black and grey striped trousers. He combined it with a mist-grey, square-cut, double-breasted waistcoat, a white shirt, and a busily patterned, multicoloured tie.
Mike Tindall
On day three of the races, Zara Tindall's ex-rugby player husband, Mike Tindall, donned a traditional morning suit and top hat, pairing it with a slate grey, double-breasted, square-cut waistcoat, a spread-collar white shirt, and a silver grey tie.
And a Few More...
Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi
Princess Beatrice's husband.
Peter Phillips
Princess Anne's son.
Jack Brooksbank
Princess Eugenie's husband.
