The 21st May 2022 marked the special day of our #AHandTailoredSuit customer Sean who tied the knot to his partner Marta, and on behalf of the tailoring team, we send them many congratulations!
It was an honour to create Sean's wedding attire for this occasion, as he flew in specially from Portugal to visit the team in our Birmingham studio. For the groom, we created a dark green velvet jacket that was finished with a lovely jacquard shawl lapel which continued inside the jacket as the facing, making it an extra stunning detail in the attire. We incorporated double jet pockets near the bottom - with the pocket flaps also constructed in the same jacquard cloth - and a single button on the front for the fastening.
Inside the jacket, it was lined in a beautiful two-tone paisley lining with white binding separating this from the jacquard design. To pick out this interior detail, we finished the bottom buttonholes on the four-button velvet cuffs in white thread, done in a subtle way so that it wouldn't distract from the overall look, but it would really make this a cohesive piece.
As the jacket was the statement point of the groom's attire, we also fitted him in a slim pair of black trousers with a soft centre crease on the front to really enhance the sharpness of Sean's tuxedo attire. His white shirt was also cut and custom-made by our tailoring team, finished with a classic collar, double cuffs and the centre placket having the buttons on show. The father of the groom was also fitted for a bespoke shirt for the wedding by ourselves also.
To complete the tuxedo wedding attire for our groom, we also made matching dark green velvet bow ties for the occasion, really pulling together this look and Sean's dream wedding suit. Having a bespoke suit for your wedding is always special and leaves a emotional mark on the occasion; but we made it all the more memorable by having the date of the wedding embroidered under the jacket collar in a lighter green.
When Sean revisits this suit, we have no doubt the memories and amazing flashbacks of his and Marta's wedding will be relived, and that is the effect a bespoke wedding suit can have.
