The BBC Sports Personality of the Year is an annual event that occurred on the 21 December. The award has been given since 1954. This year the ceremony took place in Salford at the dock10 studios and was co-hosted by Gary Lineker, Clare Balding, Gabby Logan and Alex Scott.
