The 78th BAFTA Film Awards, the British equivalent to the Oscars, took place last night, 16th February 2025, at the Royal Festival Hall in London. Musical crime film Emilia Perez had fifteen nominations, followed by Conclave with fourteen and The Brutalist with nine. Conclave won Best Film and Outstanding British Film, The Brutalist scooped Best Director (Brady Corbet) and Best Leading Actor (Adrien Brody), and Emilia Perez took the gong for Best Supporting Actress (Zoe Saldana). The nominees, winners, and guests swarmed the red carpet in their best outfits. Let's take a look at some of the women's stand-out ensembles.
Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez, nominee for Best Supporting Actress in Emilia Perez, looked stunning in a silver beaded gown by Schiaparelli attached to a black velvet underlay with a plunging neckline and off-the-shoulder sleeves. She accessorised with diamond earrings, bracelets, and an enormous ring.
Demi Moore
Best Leading Actress nominee for The Substance, Demi Moore, donned a bejewelled Alexander McQueen halter neck gown. The pattern was reminiscent of a stained glass window. She completed the look with a matching clutch and diamonds from De Beers.
Pamela Anderson
Baywatch star Pamela Anderson went makeup-free in an off-the-shoulder white ruched Jacquemus dress with a trailing train. She paired it with matching white heels and a bold necklace from Pandora.
Ariana Grande
Wicked actress Ariana Grande was nominated for Best Supporting Actress. She walked the red carpet in a custom Louis Vuitton gown with a plunging neckline in black velvet and a pouffy, ruffled pink silk skirt. She wore her hair in her signature slicked-back high bun and accessorised with diamond earrings and a matching necklace.
Cynthia Erivo
Fellow Wicked star and nominee for Best Actress, Cynthia Erivo, wore a white lace Louis Vuitton column gown with a gathered flounce at the back and an architectural structured bodice overlay. She paired it with white many-strapped shoes and her trademark long pointed manicure.
