The Best-Dressed Men at the BAFTAs 2026
The 79th British Academy Film Awards took place last night, Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the Royal Festival Hall in London. Hosted by Alan Cumming this year, the BAFTAs celebrate the best films and documentaries of the previous year. Action thriller One Battle After Another received fourteen nominations, followed by Sinners with thirteen, and Hamnet and Marty Supreme with eleven each. One Battle After Another took home the Best Film trophy; Best British Film went to Hamnet; Robert Aramayo won Best Actor for I Swear; and Jessie Buckley won Best Actress for Hamnet. Celebrities and nominees swarmed the red carpet to show off their sartorial choices for the evening. Let’s take a look at some of the best dressed.
Timothée Chalamet
Nominee for Best Actor for Marty Supreme, Timothée Chalamet donned an all-black Givenchy double-breasted, loose-fitting suit with wide, peak lapels and flap pockets. He added textural interest with a glossy satin shirt to offset the matte suit and complement his shiny patent shoes.
Alan Cumming
Known for his love of fashion, host Alan Cumming wore a long black overcoat featuring fringing that transitioned into green and then cream at the hem. In place of a traditional bow tie, he wore a custom sunburst diamond brooch. His hair was styled into kiss curls, dyed the colour of the Trans flag in solidarity.
Michael B. Jordan
Sinners star Michael B. Jordan walked the red carpet in a mismatched Dior suit. He paired straight-cut black tailored trousers with a black shirt and tie, and topped off this base with a deep grey double-breasted jacket featuring sloped padded shoulders, flap pockets, and peak lapels, which he decorated with a sunburst diamond brooch.
Ethan Hawke
Ethan Hawke looked Western-inspired in a sparkle-dusted, single-breasted, skinny black Giorgio Armani suit, a shiny, pearly satin shirt, a bolo tie, and snakeskin boots.
Cillian Murphy
Cillian Murphy kept it traditional in a black double-breasted Ferragamo suit with incredibly short peak lapels, flap pockets, and slim, straight-cut trousers paired with a white shirt and white silk tie.
