The Best-Dressed Stars at the 2026 Met Gala: Men

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York hosts an annual fundraising event for its Costume Institute. The Met Gala, often called "fashion's biggest night", is held on the first Monday in May. This year, it was May 4. The gala marks the opening of the institute's yearly spring fashion exhibition. Every year, the event has a specific theme tied to that year's museum exhibition. This year's museum exhibition is titled Costume Art, and the evening's dress code was "Fashion is Art". There were literal interpretations of the theme - from diaphanous fabrics, to paintings recreated as clothes, to copies of costumes from famous art, as well as more abstract interpretations, including sculptural clothes and garments designed to look like parts of the body. Let's take a look at some of the best-dressed celebrities on the Met Gala's red carpet this year.

Colman Domingo

Actor and fashionista Colman Domingo stood out from the crowd, as always, in a quilted harlequin creation by Valentino. He paired the tunic top with a wide black cummerbund and wide-legged trousers featuring sparkly red stripes along the inside and outside seams.

Connor Storrie

Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie walked the red carpet in a gender-bending look from Saint Laurent. He paired over-long, high-waisted black tailored trousers with a skinny black leather belt and a feminine-style black-and-white polkadotted halter top, which showed off his arms and shoulders and featured a floor-trailing neck piece. He finished the look with a pearl brooch at his neck and a gold watch.

Hudson Williams

Connor Storrie's Heated Rivalry co-star Hudson Williams attended the event in a matador-inspired look by Balenciaga. He wore a cropped jacket and matching trousers in sky blue and decorated with black Spanish-style beadwork. The trousers featured an attached flowing black cape.

Troye Sivan

Singer Troye Sivan leaned completely into the theme by dressing as American photographer Robert Mapplethorpe. He donned distressed light-wash blue jeans, a white shirt, a skinny black tie, and a long black overcoat with a faux-fur collar and lapels decorated with silver brooches.

Patrick Schwarzenegger

White Lotus actor and son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Patrick Schwarzenegger, arrived at the gala in an unusual ensemble comprising a wide-legged black suit, black ankle-length overcoat, and a cropped black leather jacket by Public School, all finished off with leather gloves and a silver-topped cane.
