The Best-Dressed Women at the BAFTAs 2026

The 79th British Academy Film Awards took place last night, Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the Royal Festival Hall in London. Hosted by Alan Cumming this year, the BAFTAs celebrate the best films and documentaries of the previous year. Action thriller One Battle After Another received fourteen nominations, followed by Sinners with thirteen, and Hamnet and Marty Supreme with eleven each. One Battle After Another took home the Best Film trophy; Best British Film went to Hamnet; Robert Aramayo won Best Actor for I Swear; and Jessie Buckley won Best Actress for Hamnet. Celebrities and nominees swarmed the red carpet to show off their sartorial choices for the evening. Let's take a look at some of the best dressed.

Wunmi Mosaku

Wunmi Mosaku, winner of Best Supporting Actress for Sinners, chose an ensemble by British designer Priya Ahluwalia for her walk down the red carpet. The sapphire-blue, one-shouldered gown was composed of layered fringing, giving a 1920s vibe.

Rose Byrne

Best Actress nominee Rose Byrne arrived at the event in a butter-yellow Miu Miu gown with a ruffled hem, a diamanté-encrusted halter strap, and a crystal-encrusted bodice that ombre'd into the skirt. She wore her hair slicked back and accessorised with oversized sparkly earrings.

Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson, who was also nominated for Best Actress in Song Sung Blue, attended the awards in a scarlet, Prada, off-the-shoulder column dress. All of the detailing on the gown was in the back, which featured a flowing train, a scooped bodice and an arm-restricting band supporting the front.
