The 2024 Brit Awards took place on Saturday, March 3rd, at London's O2 Arena and were presented by Clara Amfo, Maya Jama, and Roman Kemp. British singer, songwriter, and producer Raye swept the board, winning the awards for British Album of the Year, British Artist of the Year, New Artist, Song of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and R&B Act. Other winners included Dua Lipa for Pop Act, Miley Cyrus for International Song (Flowers), and Calvin Harris for Dance Act. Pop legend Kylie took home the Global Icon Award.
Here at A Hand Tailored Suit, we were most interested in what the celebrity attendees wore, of course! The men wore various looks, including the traditional suit, a more modern take on wearing tailored clothes, and relaxed outfits only suitable for an event such as the Brits. Let's take a look at some of the ensembles.
Calvin Harris
Scottish DJ and record producer Calvin Harris, who won the Dance Act Award, chose a bronze-coloured single-breasted suit with a matching spread collar shirt. The suit was informal with patch pockets, a two-button closure, and skinny notch lapels.
Conan Gray
American musician Conan Grey put a modern spin on wearing a suit. He chose wide-legged black trousers, a horse-shoe cut waistcoat, a black jacket with enormous white peak lapels, and no shirt. He finished the look with high-heeled boots.
Olly Alexander
Singer and actor Olly Alexander looked dapper but flamboyant in bleach-dyed blue and white straight-cut trousers and a white dress shirt. He covered them with an emerald green silk calf-length jacket with gold brocade on three panels and an abstractly patterned panel in black and orange. He accessorised with an orange choker and earrings, and a gold manicure.
Rio Ferdinand
Television pundit and former footballer Rio Ferdinand donned a beautiful long cream wool overcoat with matching straight-cut trousers and an interestingly tailored shirt as his look for the evening.
Mike Sabath
American record producer, songwriter, and musician Mike Sabbath chose loose-fitting, straight-cut trousers in black that he paired with a cropped black velvet jacket and a sheer white pussy-bow shirt. His jacket had a gold button that he matched to a gold starburst brooch pinned to his left lapel and a delicate gold necklace.
