This year's British Fashion Awards took place on December 1 at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The event was hosted by Colman Domingo. Jonathan Anderson took home the Designer of the Year Award, while Sarah Burton won British Womenswear Designer of the Year, and Grace Wales Bonner was awarded British Menswear Designer of the Year. Fashion industry royalty, models, and celebrities turned out in their sartorial best for the event. Let's take a look at some of their outfits.
Colman Domingo
American actor Colman Domingo hosted the awards. He arrived at the event in a gorgeous double-breasted navy blue Burberry suit with subtle red stripes. He paired it with a white shirt, a blue-grey silk tie, and a dangling lapel pin.
Ncuti Gatwa
Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa walked the blue carpet in a Simone Rocha creation featuring a pleated black ankle-length skirt and a single-breasted jacket with a ruched sash gathered at his right shoulder. He forwent a shirt, showing off a glimpse of his chest and a delicate necklace and sewed a fresh white rose to the top of the sash. He finished the look with a jauntily angled black hat.
Henry Golding
Crazy Rich Asians actor and model Henry Golding looked fabulous in a black windowpane-checked, double-breasted Dunhill smoking jacket-style coat, complete with a tasselled belt and shawl lapels. Underneath, he wore white trousers and a white shirt with a black bow tie. He completed the outfit with black velvet slippers.
Will Poulter
British actor Will Poulter, known for The Chronicles of Narnia and The Bear, attended the awards in a creation by Menswear Designer of the Year nominee Nicholas Daly. The look featured tailored black trousers, a white shirt with black stud buttons and a button placket piped with black, a black collar piped in white, a droopy silk bow tie, and a black bomber jacket.
Sebastian Croft
British actor Sebastian Croft, known for the Netflix series Heartstopper, wrapped up for the December chill in a white fluffy McQueen mohair coat featuring black buttons and frogging. He styled it with straight-cut black trousers and an equally fluffy white shawl with black fleck decoration.
