The Earthshot Prize Awards: Who Wore What on the Green Carpet

At the Alexandra Palace in London, the first ever Earthshot Prize ceremony took place last night (Sunday 17th October 2021) as part of an annual event between 2021 and 2030 that seeks to award those with ground-breaking resources and innovations that will help tackle the biggest environmental issues our planet faces today. The finalists were announced last month and last night, five winners were selected by The Earthshot Prize Council with recognition and support going towards their plans to help our planet, with more solutions being awarded over the next few years. Set up by the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Sir David Attenborough in 2020, they were in attendance last night which saw a few stars announce winners and perform too, all encouraged to re-wear an outfit as part of being sustainable, and as outfits should be. Let's see who wore what on the green carpet, starting with:

Prince William's dark green jacket was made with a 4-button cuff on the sleeves and peak lapels, two flapped pockets and a double vent. The fastening was a single button design with a forest green pocket square just showing through the top of the welt pocket, the padded shoulders and rounded hem softly finishing the jacket. The Duke styled his jacket with a black roll neck underneath and slim trousers too with crisp centre crease on the front. Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, opted for a rewear of her Alexander McQueen ice blue pleated evening gown made with capped sleeves and boat neckline. The gown was floor-length and accessorised with a silver waist belt.

Thin double jet pockets and a black pocket square could also be seen on the presenter's jacket as his cream shirt of choice was pleated before accessorising with his black bow tie. Dee's attire was a midnight blue velvet jacket with notch lapels and a two-button cuff, the single button fastening positioned low on the jacket. The patch pockets are designed with basketweave design and the same pattern can be seen centralised on his trousers in a large panel. The orange is picked up further through his orange shirt, fully fastened and accessorised with his metal chain underneath the collar. It had an asymmetric hemline which was shorter her left side and draped down to the floor diagonally to the right. The jacket is a double-breasted cut with a six-button front situated from the waist up. Wide flapped pockets feature below the waist and the peak lapels cut in a contrasting black cloth to match the black buttons. The shoulders are structured and rounded to give a bit more shape to the attire and contrast the sharp hem line of the jacket. Her trousers are wide leg and defined through the contrasting black side stripe. The suit is made a bit more casual through the wide turned up hem on the trousers as they just brush the floor and cover her trainers.

Joana's choice of attire was a pink sweetheart neckline fitted floor-length gown, one which also dazzled too thanks to its sequinned design and delicate one-shoulder cape draped behind her.
